They get arrested, but the Partisans rescue them and they participate in series of actions. Slavica dies in one of the sea battles and their ship, one of the first in Yugoslav War Navy, gets named by her. Slavica is the first feature film made in Yugoslavia after WW2, with a basic intent to praise the heroic struggle of the people of Dalmatian Seaside against the occupators. More than 2.000.000 people of former Yugoslavia saw this movie. Irena Kolesar, actress in the main role, became the frist Yugoslav movie star.
